PAASE would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Michael Purugannan, Silver Professor at the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology, New York University, for his being elected as one of the Visiting Fellows of All Souls College. One of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in England, All Souls College was founded in 1438 by Henry Chichele, the Archbishop of Canterbury at the time. The college's original purpose was to provide an education for the "travelling fellows" or chaplains who were associated with the Archbishops of Canterbury.

All Souls College is renowned for its academic excellence and prestigious status within the University of Oxford. It is unique among Oxford colleges, as it does not have undergraduates and focuses exclusively on postgraduate studies. The college primarily offers fellowships to exceptional individuals, allowing them to pursue independent research and scholarship. Election as a Visiting Fellow of All Souls College is a highly esteemed recognition, demonstrating exceptional scholarly achievements and outstanding contributions to academia.

May this achievement serve as inspiration for aspiring scientists and researchers around the world. Wishing you continued success in all your future endeavors, Dr. Purugganan!
